Martina Tesanovic, in art Anima di Marte, was born in Rome in 1995 and is the only daughter of two artists.
She grew up surrounded by classical, jazz and 80's international music.
She started to develop her passion in photography and videography at a very young age, when she first of all started to record videos secretly from her father's camera.
Then she begin to try to catch as more moments as possible with her disposable Kodak, a lot of photographs of cats, nature, strange people or interesting buildings.
The main focus was freezing, feeling that moments in the hands, giving them a physical form, a intense and constant attempt to remove the temporariness of such images.
In early adulthood she also studied Psychology for a lot of years, this helped her to develop a more introspective vision into life, people and so into her works.
Her works are deeply inspired by her passion in art and so by a lot of painters, like Caravaggio, Botticelli or Monet, all surrounded by this sense of melancholy, of tenderness, so as her personality.
The main focus of her photographic style is to capture the soul of the subjects, they can be humans, animals or non-living objects, anyways she will always give them a voice, an implicit voice shown by their physical form, colors, or expressions, her images will talk about their stories without the use of the words.
She wishes to bring back romanticism in our society.
If a statement can describe herself will surely be this one: deep souls, kindness, creativity and impressive art will save us.
